St. Louis Zoo

We headed to St. Louis for the weekend for some fun with the kids. We did a lot of running and a lot of sweating. It was HOT! The first stop was the zoo on Saturday. (That's not what we were looking for, but it's what we found, and where we went.) We were at the zoo pretty much all day and saw several things we had not seen before. Two things of honorable mention were the baby Prairie Dogs and the African Elephant taking a swim. It was neat.

Kamdyn's first trip to the zoo!

As most of you know, elephants are Addisen's FAVORITE animal! Well, she got her fill on this trip to the zoo. She saw two African elephants and four Asian elephants. She couldn't believe it.

The trainer (a.k.a. The Elephant Man) was doing tricks with this one as we walked up. He did all sorts of tricks then went for a swim.

Here's the elephant cooling off in the freshly filled river. He did his best to find all the frozen bananas floating in the water.

Animals, shmanimals! Rylin says, "Can't we just watch the trains?"

Kamdyn says, "LOOK! It's a baby! Just like me!"

Rylin and I went to see the Dinosaurs Exhibit. They had 16 life size dinosaurs that moved, made sounds and spit. He was okay until the Triceratops growled at him. He's about 10 feet away from the T-Rex and would not get any closer. They were really neat to look at. Just imagine them running around!

My boys give this zoo ... TWO THUMBS UP!
