From Two Feet to Two Wheels!

We took the kids on a walk last night. Mainly to get me out of the house ... and not waste gas. Normally we just head south on our road (since it is all paved) and the big kids ride their bikes while Kamdyn rides in the stroller or the sling. Tonight we took a right and went down the gravel road. Of course the kids got upset because "IT'S TOO HARD TO RIDE ON ROCKS!" We tried to tell them, but of course they had to find out for themselves. So they ended up putting their bikes in the ditch and walking. Finally!!!

This is a really bad picture, but it is of the Alligator Turtle we saw in the creek. It was about 10 inches in diameter. Pretty big!

Here's the kids when we were leaving. Addisen is sporting her purple nightgown that is tucked into her underwear so it didn't get caught in the tire, along with her helmet, knee pads and elbow pads ... just in case she wrecks. Rylin is wearing his helmet so that he is safe. "Because all that bike racers needs is helmets, band-aids and water."
On our way back Rylin kept getting 'stuck in the rocks'. I told him that if he took the training wheels off, he wouldn't have that problem. So he said, "Fine! Take them off." So Lee did.

After a few pushes ... Rylin is off! He did great and was very proud of himself. He needed to make a pit stop after a few tries. Lee is keeping the bike warm. Rylin says, "If you look close enough you can see my stream!" LOL ... boys.

I'm sure he is screaming something along the lines of "Yeah, baby!" or "Rock on dude!" or "Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah!" (Thanks Leo!)
Rylin is happy with his first night of success. Way to go Rylin! -And special thanks to Addisen for letting Rylin use her elbow and knee pads ... just in case.

Here is Barklie all tuckered out. It doesn't take long for the old man to get tired. He's hanging tough though! The walk ended on a good note for all of us.
