Good morning my sweet and beautiful boy! So full of smiles.
Ready for the day. Ready for his breakfast!
These two pics of Kamdyn really have nothing to do with my post. I couldn't resist putting a dose of daily sweetness along with it. He's just too darn cute! ... especially in his monkey jammies.

Okay ... on with the post.
We loaded everyone up one Sunday morning and headed to Springfield for a train show. We were all so excited ... except for Addisen. She could've cared less. But, armed with her colored pencils and notebook, she was good to go! We knew she'd have fun when we got there.

Here is a not so very good photo of the Capital Building.

And yes, you guessed it! Good ole Abe Lincoln!
One of the coolest things there was the Train. They had to crank it to get it going. It was really pretty neat. The kids enjoyed it, even if they were beat when it ended. They rode it three times. Loved it!
It was so fun to look at the layouts people set up. We were soaking up information for our own endeavor.

Addisen enjoyed the circus.

They even had a baseball game going on.

If baseball or the circus was not your style ... just cruise on down to the drive-in to kick back and relax.

I think this was Lee's inspiration to do a grain mill in honor of CGB.
Overall we had a pretty good time. With all the vendors, the clown, the Lego setup and the floor trains to play with we all seemed to have a great time. Even though Mama wasn't feeling too well. I went through two small packages of kleenex and felt like I had a bucket on my head all day. BUT, that's the price you gotta pay sometimes for your train loving son to get a day he will never forget.
Now you know what's next right? We have to build Rylin his own. Thanks to Papa Ron, Rylin has more than enough to start his own "real track". Should be a great family adventure.
